Meet the People of Local Hub
I like working at local hub because I surrounded by opportunities to learn about something that I really love, while being a part of Dallas’s cycling community.
I am an ex runner who was having knee issues about 3 years ago. Loving the therapy of hitting the pavement and clearing my mind to the sound of nature and feeling of wind against my skin, I knew I needed to find a replacement to running that was similar in both mental and physical. I took on cycling, starting with a single speed bike and working my way into a road bike, a bike team, and quickly discovered an amazing community of people who became family.
Cycling became my therapy pretty quickly. It helped me solve my problems, get in shape, take care of myself first, adjusted my mental health, and helped me reach a level of confidence I never knew was possible. It made and makes me a better person and who doesn’t want that?
The Kona Libre, which I’ve named, Purple Rain. It’s definitely an eye catching bike which is appealing, but I’ve never ridden something that performs so well on all mixed terrain like this. It’s truly a wonder bike in that I wonder what it CAN’T ride on.
