What happens when you store your bike outside
As winter (ha ha) slowly approaches, it is more common for folks to take some time off the bike. A bike much like a car is designed to be used on a somewhat consistent basis to keep the juices flowing. So let’s talk a little about this period of time when it just sits. First, ideally the bike would be stored inside but even that won’t keep some problems from developing. Cool and dry is the key. If you must store it outside, I would recommend out of the rain and sun but not covered so it can breathe after a rain. Don’t store it in the same place that pool chemicals are kept either as the gases from those will eat away a bike fairly fast.
